This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the armed forces community — from delivering dedicated services for veterans to creating meaningful career opportunities for those who have served.
Among our initiatives recognised are our Health Checks for Veterans service, which ensures that veterans receive tailored health support, recognising the unique experiences and needs of those who have served. In addition, our focus on armed forces recruitment helps us welcome new perspectives and skills into the NHS workforce, while also honouring the valuable contributions of ex-service personnel.
We are equally proud of our Armed Forces Staff Network, which offers vital support, connection, and advocacy for our veteran and reservist staff members across the Trust.
Being shortlisted for this award is a testament to the dedication of our teams and partners working together to make George Eliot Hospital a welcoming and supportive place for our armed forces community.
