Bowel cancer support group

Bowel cancer patients are invited to attend the free support group at George Eliot Hospital

The group, hosted by the colorectal clinical nurse specialists, have resumed their meetings every fourth Tuesday each month from 6 -8pm in Raveloes conference room on the first floor the hospital.  Please note that the group will not be meeting on 26th September.

Patients can share their experiences and offer valuable support to each other at these informal meetings.

The group also organise events to support the hospital, including a quiz and sponsored walk. Last year their fundraising helped to buy two patient trolleys for our Solomon Macey endoscopy unit and a new laparoscopic camera for our theatres.

Please enter via the main entrance. The meetings will be COVID-19 secure and will be fully risk assessed before the group can resume. Patient should wear a face mask when visiting the hospital.

Patients are reminded that the support group does not replace their usual appointments.
