The Breast Care Unit at George Eliot Hospital provide a range of clinics and services to local people and patients. The Breast Care Unit is based in the Outpatients department at George Eliot Hospital.

The Breast Care Unit offers the following:

  • New patient assessments
  • Follow up clinics for post biopsy, post operative and surveillance patients
  • Pre operative consenting clinics
  • Advice and support clinic for patients following results
  • Immediate and delayed reconstruction
  • Oncoplastic clinics for patients undergoing immediate or delayed reconstruction
  • Prosthetic fittings
  • Tattooing
  • Wellbeing advice
  • Triple assessment clinic 
  • Nurse led pre-clerking and post operative result clinics
  • Nurse led seroma, aspirations, wound and drain management clinics 
  • Nurse led prosthetic fitting clinic
  • Nurse led tattooing clinic

Local support

Walk and Talk

Weekly support group for patients affected by cancer supported by a clinical nurse specialist. Tuesdays in Riversley Park, 1:30pm to 2:30pm.

Offers people affected by cancer access to good quality, comprehensive and appropriate information and support

Look Good Feel Better

Workshops at George Eliot Hospital help women undergoing cancer treatment to regain their self-confidence and self-esteem at a very difficult time in their lives. We aim to help people diagnosed with cancer to literally look good…and feel better.

Bosom Buddies Support Group

Group meet 2nd Wednesday every month at the Weddington Social Club, Weddington Road, Nuneaton CV10 0ER, 12:30pm to 2:30pm.
