There are over 200 types of rheumatic and arthritis disease, with arthritis being the second most common cause for time off work. Early diagnosis and treatment is therefore essential in ensuring that patients can control their disease.

Our rheumatology department is one of the largest departments of its kind in the UK. We offer a range of specialist clinics, with close links with several other departments.

We accept referrals from all over the UK, from GPs as well as tertiary and can be for a range of conditions, including:

  • Rheumatoid, inflammatory, psoriatic and temporal arteritis
  • Back, neck and shoulder pain
