image.pngProviding support to our patients across five areas, Arbury Lodge, Alex Ward, Melly Ward, Nason Ward and Victoria Ward. This role would suit someone looking to volunteer in a ward environment, you should enjoy communicating with patients and feel confident giving patients a set of instructions, you should be confident working alone of in a team. You must be over 18 to complete this role. The role includes:

  • Engaging with patients and building a rapport with them. 
  • Supporting the physical health of our patients by verbally encouraging completion of deconditioning activities which include ankle pumps, leg raises, arm lifts. 
  • Recording the outcome in an easy to complete exercise monitoring sheet. 
  • Promoting patient mobility
  • Support the FFT (patient feedback) programme

We are currently looking for volunteers for sessions on Friday mornings 10am-12noon and Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons 2pm-4pm.
