The Paediatric service at George Eliot Hospital is focused on providing high quality, safe care to children, young people and their families..

Consultants work a resident rota and also rotate to University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire Trust to maintain inpatient skills. Excellent nurses have been retained and the team are working to develop advanced nurse practitioners.

The service provides the following clinics; general paediatrics, diabetes, kidney disease, renal, respiratory, allergy and baby clinics. Follow-up appointments for local children receiving inpatient treatment at other hospitals are also carried out. A specialist in Safeguarding is also available.

The Children’s Assessment unit allows children to undergo assessments, observations and treatment. Any child requiring prolonged observation or admission will be transferred to UHCW or other appropriate hospital. After 10pm please contact the out of hours service for advice.

Inpatient paediatric services are no longer be provided at George Eliot Hospital.

The team welcome any feedback to enable continuous improvements.
