The team is made up of a thorough and friendly multidisciplinary team; consultants, registrar's, junior doctors, pharmacists, nurses, health care assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists who are on hand to help or advise at all times.

The Acute Medical Unit is a 53 bedded short stay clinical area which provides a rapid definitive assessment, investigation and treatment pathway for patients admitted via Accident and Emergency.
