Mr Asterios Dramis BM, PgCert, MSc, DM, MRCS, FEBOT, FRCS (Tr&Orth)  went to medical school in Southampton and qualified as a doctor in 1999. He then underwent further surgical training in Birmingham, Greater Manchester, Oxford and Cardiff before being appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon at the George Eliot Hospital in 2014.

He has obtained the Diploma of Membership from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2003, the Diploma of Fellowship of the European Board of Orthopedics and Traumatology in 2009 and the Diploma of Fellowship of the Intercollegiate Specialty Boards in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2010.

He has also completed a Master of Science degree in Health Science and Practice from University of Central Lancashire in 2008, a Postgraduate Certificate in Leading Clinical Innovation and Improving Performance from the University of Teesside in 2015, a level 7 Certificate from the Chartered Management Institute in Strategic Management and Leadership in 2016 and a Doctorate of Medicine degree from the University of Thessaly, Greece in 2016.

He has extensively authored papers and reviewed articles in respected orthopaedic journals. He has presented papers in number of national and international meetings.

He has an active interest in teaching and training undergraduate students from the Warwick Medical School.

Clinical Interests

Mr Asterios Dramis is a Fellowship-trained Orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in primary and revision hip and knee replacements. He is a member of the George Eliot Orthopaedic Team.
