Dr Suresh Krishnamoorthy works for the Cardiology Team which provides a comprehensive cardiac service and care to the local population.
The coronary care team provide inpatient care on a 12 bed Coronary Care Unit and 10 beds on a medical ward. We are supplemented by a team of Specialist Nurses who undertake nurse led clinics, look after ACS (heart attack) patients, provide cardiac rehabilitation and look after arrhythmias patients.
They currently have a full complement of support services including an excellent Cardio Respiratory Department with state of the art echocardiogram machines, holter recorders, respiratory function testing. Cardiac imaging is further supported by cardiac CT coronary angiography and cardiac MR imaging. There is also a tilt table service.
The team also perform on site pacemaker implantation and in the near future we hope to offer an Internal Cardiac Defibrillator Device (ICD) service.
They take part in supporting coronary interventions in both stable and acute coronary syndrome patients.
