George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust welcomes the news that Dylan Pearson has been sentenced to spend the next few months behind bars after being found guilty of assaulting hospital staff.

The Trust extends its gratitude to Warwickshire Police for their prompt and effective action in bringing him to justice. This conviction sends a clear message that abuse towards staff who are dedicated to providing care will not be tolerated.

Inspector Ryan Walker from Nuneaton’s Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “No one should have to face the prospect of being assaulted when they go to work.

“Frontline workers, including emergency services staff, deserve to feel safe while carrying out their vital roles. We remain committed to holding anyone who abuses or assaults our emergency services accountable for their actions.”

Robin Snead, Chief Operating Officer at George Eliot Hospital, added: “Our staff work tirelessly to care for patients, and we have zero tolerance for any form of abuse, discrimination, or assault against them.

“We thank Warwickshire Police for their swift and decisive response, and we will continue to work closely with them to ensure those responsible for such unacceptable behaviour are prosecuted.”

The Trust remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting its staff and ensuring a safe environment for both patients and employees.
