Welcome to the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust
At George Eliot Hospital our mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of our local communities by providing excellent services to meet their healthcare needs, as close to home as possible, through innovation and collaboration with professional health and social care partners.
Norovirus
The Norovirus sickness and diarrhoea bug is currently prevalent in the community. Please help to minimise the risk of this spreading to our patients by refraining from visiting wards if you are feeling generally unwell, especially if you are suffering from diarrhoea or vomiting. Healthy living 2010
Each month throughout 2010 the George Eliot will be raising awareness of a different health condition or aspect of healthy living. This will cover everything from healthy eating to respiratory disease and radiology to pain management.
Each months awareness campaign will use a combination of hospital based awareness events, media campaigns and information here on the Trust's website to raise important issues in relation to health and healthy living.
January will focus on healthy eating. This will include an awareness stand being run by Nuneaton and Bedworth Healthy Living Network in the main entrance to the hospital from Monday 18-Friday 22 January (1-3pm daily). In the meantime why not check out some advice from the Healthy Living Network Team.
Representatives from local schools, colleges and art groups have attended the launch of a major new project to bring the work of local artists to the walls of George Eliot Hospital.
As the 2009/10 financial year draws to a close, the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust is compiling its Annual Report. The report will contain details of the Trust’s operational and financial performance from the previous 12 months along with submissions from teams across the hospital, reporting on what they have been doing to improve patient care and the patient experience at the hospital.
George Eliot Hospital is asking its members to become more involved in influencing the future of their hospital by applying to sit on a new Members Advocacy Panel.
