NHS pension

Trust employees can take advantage of the excellent NHS final salary pension scheme.


Staff Appraisals

Staff are supported in their job roles through annual appraisals with their line managers. Clear performance objectives are agreed during these meetings and outcome measures set. Appraisals are the perfect opportunity for staff to identify any additional training required within their current job role and to request personal development they wish to undertake to further their career within the NHS. 


On-site nursery

Children of staff aged two months-five years can access the Willow Brooke Nursery. The nursery is open throughout the year from 7am-6pm.


Holiday club for children

Staff with children can access the Trust run Funshine Holiday Club, which is held at the nearby George Eliot School. The club is OFSTED regulated and is run by a fully qualified childcare team. All NHS staff recieve a subsidised discount.


Cycle to work scheme

The Trust operates a cycle to work scheme, enabling staff to get a bike tax free, saving on average about half the cost.


Flexible working

The Trust recognises the important of supporting staff by offering flexible working arrangements that enable them to balance their working life and other personal commitments. Staff can request flexible working where possible, to fit working hours around family life and responsibilities outside of work. Managers are obliged to consider all requests. Staff lottery

All staff have the option to join the monthly staff lottery draw. The draw costs £2 per entry and money is taken directly from your wages. Three winners are drawn at the monthly Chief Executive's Team Brief. All profits go into the Staff Wellbeing Fund.


Tranquility garden for staff

Situated of the link corridor to the training and education centre (GETEC), a recently refurbished courtyard will offer staff an are for quiet and reflection and to use for breaks and lunchtime.


Well to Excel days

Well to Excel days are funded through the staff wellbeing fund and promote the various initiatives available to promote staff health and wellbeing. Staff also have the chance to try out some relaxation techniques such as hand massages and aromatherapy.


On site bus stop

From the bus stop on the hospital site, you can catch buses to Nuneaton, Bedworth, Coventry (including University Hospital Coventry) and North Warwickshire (including Atherstone).


Spiritual and pastoral care

The chaplaincy team provide confidential support for all staff of any or no denomination. The chaplaincy team represent all the major faiths of the local community. At the chaplaincy centre, there is a counselling room and chapel and hospitality facilities. Located in the centre of the hospital there is also a multi-faith prayer room.


Staff awards

The Trust's annual staff awards honour staff who have gone the extra mile to deliver live up to the Trust's vision and values.


Monthly Chief Executive's Team Brief

Every month, staff are invited to attend a briefing by the Trust's Chief Executive. These briefings are designed to keep staff informed about what is happening in the organisation and give them a chance to raise queries.
