Representatives from the Mothers’ Union, Holy Trinity Church, Hinckley visited A&E to donate 50 filled wash bags for patients.
The bags were donated to A&E to share with patients who arrived in the emergency department without toiletries. Each bag contained essential toiletries including toothpaste, a toothbrush, comb, flannel, soap, and tissues.
A&E Matron, Alison Rolfe said: “I would like to thank the Mothers’ Union for their lovely donation which was gratefully received. These will bring comfort to those patients that arrive in A&E without these essentials and then find they have to stay overnight.”
The Mothers’ union intend to make more bags in the future and are planning to produce other items to assist patients at the hospital.
