Mr Mathew completed his BBS in India and trained as a surgeon in the UK. He has a fellow at the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) in Glasgow and an FRCS fellow of the London RCS. He is also an examiner for the RCS's MRCS examiniation and represents the RCS for London for consultant appointments across the country. Mr Mathew is also a Clinical Associate Professor at Warwick Medical School.
Mr Mathew conducts laparoscopic colorectal resections and deals with complex inflammatory bowel disease problems. He can also perform anal pouch operations, the majority of which can be carried out at the George Eliot.
