The Paediatric Service at the George Eliot Hospital is delighted to be celebrating the first anniversary of its re-launch.
To mark the occasion, the staff would like to invite families to join them in the celebrations on the 14th August 2014 at the Paediatric Out-Patients and Day Unit.
From 2pm until 4.30pm there will be a treasure hunt and a Magic Show for the children as well as face painting and raffles. There will also be a party bag for the first 75 children that arrive.
The unit has been commended for making significant improvements in compliance with the West Midlands Quality Review Service standards and the new service is also now nationally recognised with the team receiving invitations to speak at national conferences and to share best practice which is a further reason to celebrate.
Dr Sebastian Yuen, Consultant Paediatrician at George Eliot Hospital said “We are delighted to have reached this important milestone.
“The paediatric service has been completely redesigned and now offers a continuously improving service.
“We have increased activity, decreased admissions and are achieving much better patient and staff experience and we are really excited to be able to celebrate this with our staff and local residents”.
