Staff at George Eliot Hospital have been encouraged to make a commitment to uphold patients’ rights to dignity as part of Dignity Action Day.
Macmillan Cancer’s Information and Support Centre at George Eliot Hospital will be opening shortly but the Macmillan Information Centre Manager is calling for volunteers to help her offer advice and support to people affected by cancer.
The Trust is moving to reassure patients and the public after we were highlighted in the national media this week as having a high percentage of patients developing hospital acquired pressure sores. The Trust has raised significant concerns about the way this data is being reported as there is no standard way for reporting such data on a national level and therefore we feel that an accurate comparison is not currently achievable.
A local man has thanked health experts for helping him quit smoking and get on his bike.
