As part of the George Eliot Trust’s ongoing Art Strategy and growing partnership with North Warwickshire and Hinckley College the trust has launched the first in a series of virtual films titled: “Your virtual visit to George Eliot hospital”
The short film, which has been produced by HND Creative Media (moving image) students at North Warwickshire and Hinckley College, is a “through the eye of a patient” view of visiting the hospital for the first time.
The film has been recorded in both English and Urdu, and has been designed to make the experience of visiting the hospital a lot easier for patients, visitors and all access services at the hospital.
Membership and Engagement Manager, Doreen Sadler said: “This is a real benchmark for the partnership as we celebrate our third year working with the College.
“It’s a great opportunity for people to see the work we have been doing with local students in order to help our community.
“We have been working together as part of an ongoing project to help everyone who visits the Trust, so this is the first in a series of short films which we will be promoting over the coming months.”
Ian Wynd , Quality and Performance Leader for Creative Arts & Media for North Warwickshire and Hinckley College said: “Our undergraduates found the entire production experience of immense benefit in terms of developing their professional practice skills and preparing them for the realities of the world of work.”
