“Stuart Annan joined the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust in 2006 as a Non-Executive Director before becoming Chairman in December 2009.
“Stuart was always so available and supportive to both our patients and our staff. His love and passion for the George Eliot was palpable, his focus was always clear and never faltered, leading from the front and reminding us all, that “we are here for the patients”. His eleven years at the George Eliot Hospital has seen us through many a challenging time and we have come so far under his watchful stewardship.
“We will remember him for this dedication, passion and deep love for the George Eliot Hospital. We will never forget Stuart as his memory will always live on.
“We will continue to make him proud through our great work for the patients and families we care for at the George Eliot.”
