We now have full details about roadwork closures on Heath End Road planned to start on Monday 10 October until 2 December 2016.
National Grid is planning to close part of Heath End Road towards the top end of the road for 8 weeks starting on Monday. Diversions will be in operation. It is a major route around Nuneaton so traffic delays are expected. The closure is between Arbury Road and Atholl Crescent.
For the safety of road users and their work force temporary traffic management will be in place whilst they undertake their work. There will be temporary traffic light control on Arbury Road, at the junction of Heath End Road; whilst these temporary lights are in use the adjacent bus stops will be suspended.
There will be a partial road closure in place on Heath End Road, junction off Arbury Road allowing access only to residents. A diversion route will be in place and clearly signposted.
The leaflet attached here details diversions and a map of the roadwork area.
These works are to replace the Gas Mains for the road which urgently needs a full replacement. The closure is necessary to ensure both the security and safety of the gas supply to this area. These are extensive roadwork’s and there will be heavy plant, machinery, vans and wagons operating in the working area.
