George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust is inviting local job hunters to come along to a recruitment event, dedicated to its catering and domestic departments, on Saturday 1 April from 10am – 3pm.
The event is being held in the George Eliot Hospital GETEC (Training and Education Centre) and is aimed towards potential recruits for its Hotel Services Department - cleaners, ward hostesses and catering staff. The event will give members of the public the chance to talk to staff about working at the hospital, as well as ask any questions about either the hospital, or the job roles that are on offer.
Staff members will be on hand to assist with the completion of job application forms, which will allow some people to receive instant job offers, subject to background checks. Short hospital tours will also be available. Light refreshments will be on offer during the event.
Ann O’Brien, Hotel Services Manager said: “We are looking to recruit a host of domestic and catering assistants to join our friendly team and this event will help give an insight into our great working environment.”
“We have a variety of positions available, from domestic assistants to ward hostesses. There are various shift patterns available, including evenings and weekends. Full training will be provided for successful applicants, so no previous experience is necessary.
“We will be helping potential recruits to complete an application form, if they wish and we will also be on hand to answer any questions.”
People wishing to attend are asked to report to the George Eliot Hospital GETEC (Training and Education) Centre entrance. Free parking is available outside the GETEC centre. The event is open to adults only.
