George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust is inviting current and potential surgical Band 5 nurses to attend a recruitment event on Saturday 9th February to find out how they can join surgical teams at the Trust.
At the heart of the community, George Eliot Hospital is a 286-bedded District General Hospital providing a range of medical, surgical, women’s and children’s services to 300,000 people across Nuneaton, North Warwickshire and West Leicestershire. There are three dedicated surgical wards Alexandra, Nason and Victoria as well as our Day Procedure Unit which offers care to patients undergoing day case, short stay and longer stay elective and emergency procedures.
The hospital offers excellent education and training opportunities, including a full preceptor programme for newly qualified nurses and a modified programme for new staff to the Trust depending on experience. The Surgical Division is also keen to offer staff the opportunity to undertake internal rotation so that you can gain experience in different areas.
Deputy Director of Nursing Dilly Wilkinson said: “We have strong team ethic, proud local workforce and the commitment of our staff to ‘eXcel at patient care’. It’s also an exciting time as the Trust plans its future together with South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust and Wye Valley NHS Trust, after joining a collaborative foundation group of hospitals. “
