George Eliot Hospital will be able to give its younger patients a happy Christmas – thanks to a donation from a local builder.
Davidsons Homes has given £500 worth of toys to George Eliot hospital in Nuneaton, to pass on to children who come to their A&E assessment area over the festive period.
Toys range from soft toys through to books for all ages and board games like Connect 4 and Qwirkle.
Leanne Clow, ward manager for the Children’s Assessment Unit and Paediatrics at George Eliot Hospital, said: “It’s a lovely gesture from Davidsons and we’re very grateful. We will be giving the gifts to those children who unfortunately have to visit us over Christmas.”
Stephanie King, Sales Director for Davidsons Homes, said: “We were delighted to support such an important service and help during this busy festive period. We’ve chosen toys, games and books to suit everyone from babies through to teenagers.
“We’re building new houses locally, so it’s really important to us to do our bit for the communities in which we’re building.”
George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust would like to thank everyone who has made a donation to the hospital before Christmas to our staff and patients.
