George Eliot Hospital has been awarded ‘excellent’ in all three categories of a recent inspection of its services.
The annual Patient Environmental Action Team (PEAT) inspection, carried out by the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA), took place earlier in the year and assessed the Trust’s performance in three categories:
Privacy and dignity
The Trust is delighted to announce that it received the top rating of ‘excellent’ in all three areas, improving on a good rating in all areas last year.
Director of Technical Services Teresa French said: “We want every patient who comes into this hospital to have confidence in the care they receive. Our staff take great pride in the service they offer to patients and I’m delighted this has been acknowledged by the PEAT assessment team.
“This is one of the few inspections that highlights much of the good work that goes on often behind the scenes at the hospital by groups such as domestics, catering staff, estates workers and porters. I’d especially like to thank them for all their hard work in helping us achieve these ratings.”
