Volunteers from the Prince’s Trust have started a fantastic new project to improve the existing garden within the Maternity Unit at the George Eliot Hospital.
Relaxing seating, a sensory area and a soft play area for children are features of the new design project initiated by the George Eliot Hospital Arts programme.
An all weather canopy area will be created within this lovely space which will be available to staff, expectant mums, families, and children visiting the maternity unit.
New Head of Midwifery, Alison Talbot said:”We would like to thank the Prince’s Trust for supporting this project.
“This refurbishment will be a wonderful addition to our ongoing redevelopment of the Maternity Unit.”
The new garden is due to be completed on Friday 13 March.
