Living Well with Cancer event – free health support event – 2 February 2017


An event is being held at the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust, focussing on all aspects of a patient’s journey through cancer.

The Living Well with Cancer event.is open to everyone including families, carers, and health professionals. It takes place on Thursday 2 February from 11am – 3pm in Raveloe’s Conference Room and George Eliot Technical Education Centre (GETEC) foyer level 1 at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust, College Street Nuneaton CV10 7DJ

Health professionals who will be providing information and guidance at the event will be:

  • Lead Cancer Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist
  • Macmillan Cancer Information and Support
  • Guide Posts (Carers Support)
  • Physiotherapist – Physical health issues
  • Occupational Therapist – social care needs
  • Chaplaincy services
  • Oasis – Complementary therapy support
  • Various support groups
  • Patients Advice and Liaison Services (PALS)
  • Patients who have competed their treatment
  • Dietician, Claire Sutton-Smith will be presenting in the conference room
  • ‘Drop In’ Everyone is welcome
