How you can help us to get your relatives home

How you can help us to get your relatives home.png

We are asking for support from families of patients who are ready to leave hospital.

Families/carers of patients are asked to support the hospital by bringing clean comfortable clothes for them, providing transport where they can to get loved ones home and making sure that they are returning to a warm home that's well-stocked with food and medicines.

We also ask that family members wear a mask during the transfer of the patient home.

We remind families of the crucial importance of sticking to Tier restrictions and advice for ‘hands, face, space’ to protect themselves, their families, friends and colleagues this winter.

Please do not attend the hospital if you or your family members are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19. The first point of contact if you need urgent medical help is NHS 111. If you need help in an emergency or life-threatening situation, call 999.
