Fantastic fundraisers, the Teresa Noon Trust, handed over a cheque for £9,500 to George Eliot Hospital earlier this month to purchase valuable equipment to benefit patients who visit the oncology department.
The exciting entertainment night at Saunders Club was packed with supporters for this popular charity who have purchased several items for the hospital, since the Trust was established in 2015, including three infusion pumps, a portable ultra sound scanner and sixteen new electric patient chairs.
This latest donation will be used to purchase a portable ECG Catheter Tip Location System. This equipment will help to increase the comfort of future patients by providing immediate feedback and minimising exposure to x-ray radiation.
Teresa Noon Trust in association with Q’s Karaoke (Bill and Sue Earp) have previously organised entertainment events to help buy new equipment for the Oncology department at the hospital. The charity was originally set up in memory of Teresa Noon by her husband and friends.
Organiser Bill Earp said:”We would like to thank everyone who gave up their time to support our event and we hope they can make our future events to help us continue to make life a little less stressful for the people having treatment.”
George Eliot Hospital Fundraising Coordinator, Nikki Lea: “I would like to thank everyone at Teresa Noon Trust for another amazing donation.
“The charity’s support for the hospital continues to be invaluable and I want to thank them for personally inviting me to such a great night out.”
Teresa Noon Trust forthcoming events include The Q’s Factor at Collycroft Club, Leicester Rd; CV12 8AG on 30th November and another entertainment night on 14th March 2020 at the Saunders Club, Bedworth, CV12 8RJ
