George Eliot Hospital has announced that Stephen Collman has been appointed as Director of Operations.
Stephen qualified as a nurse in 1990 and has held a number of management posts in mental health and community services, joining Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust in 2009 and becoming its Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2014. As COO he was responsible for the day to day running of the service delivery units and operations and management teams as well as Workforce and HR department teams. He also spent the last six months on secondment at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
Stephen said on his appointment: "I am delighted to join George Eliot Hospital and to work with my new colleagues in the executive team and across the Trust. Delivering high quality patient care, services that are clinically driven and enabling our staff to love the work they do and give their besthas always been motivation for me. I look forward to helping the hospital deliver excellent services to the people of Nuneaton and North Warwickshire."
Chief Executive Glen Burley said: "I'd like to welcome Stephen. He joins George Eliot Hospital at a busy time and I'm confident that his skills and experience will further strengthen our leadership team as we work together to develop and improve our services. Stephen will commence his duties on 12 February 2019, replacing Debbie Pook who announced her resignation in November this year.
