Chris Bradshaw

Chris Bradshaw, Deputy Chief Executive at the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust has retired after a career spanning eight years with the Trust.

Chris joined the trust in December 2006 when he took on the role of Director of Finance and Performance. He brought with him extensive experience including a role as Director of Finance at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

When Chris arrived in 2006, the trust was facing significant financial challenges following a revenue gap from the previous financial year. Chris spearheaded the financial recovery plan and helped the trust to deliver a revenue surplus in the following years.

Chris also developed and coordinated the Integrated Performance Report which covers all aspects of the Trust’s performance in meeting national and local targets. This was a regular feature of the trusts board meetings.

Chris became Deputy Chief Executive in 2013 and was the lead for the ‘Securing a Sustainable Futures Project’ which involved working closely with colleagues at the NHS Trust Development Authority and the Department of Health. He has also had significant influence in coordinating plans for the Trust’s future.

The role of Deputy Chief Executive will now be carried out by the hospital’s Director of Operations Kath Kelly.
