Gorgeous new arrivals brought joy at Christmas for parents at the George Eliot Hospital Maternity Unit.
The Midwifery team at the newly refurbished labour suite at the George Eliot enjoyed a busy day as the first babies arrived just after 2.00am. Six babies made their first appearance on Christmas Day (Timothy Sowinska, Patrycja Majewska, Coulton Warmington, Caleb Purcell, Isabella Moore and Hope Elizabeth Lee).
Proud mum Karolina Majewska, who lives in Exhall, gave birth to the first baby to appear on this special day.
Baby Patrycja was born at 2:10 am weighing a very healthy 4.1 kg after arriving in the early hours of Christmas Day..
Happy mum, Karolina said: “I was very happy to have my baby today and have already introduced baby Patrycja to my sister and I can't wait to introduce her to the rest of the family".
Another Mum, Jadwiga Sowinska, who lives in Stockingford, Nuneaton, gave birth to her first baby just after Patrycja.
Timothy was born at 2:56am and weighed 3.4kg after arriving a little early at 38 weeks.
Each baby born on Christmas Day was provided with a special stocking created by the midwifery team and a lovely baby hat. A local talented knitter, Mrs Greenway from Bedworth had also knitted a shawl for the first Christmas baby.
