George Eliot Hospital is hosting an event to support local carers in the community on Friday 9 June 11am-3pm.
Free refreshments will be available at the event which will share important information and showcase specialists who support carers and families in Nuneaton, Bedworth, North Warwickshire and surrounding areas.
Information and advice will be on offer to support carers to look after their loved ones well, while recognising that they are individuals with needs of their own.
A range of local individuals and organisations will be coming together to draw attention to just how important caring is within the community and the networks available to support families in the area.
Organisations attending include The Carers Trust, Dementia Friends, Young Carers Group, Alzheimer’s Society, Parkinson’s UK, Warwickshire County Council, Age UK, Department of Works and Pensions, Walk and Talk Cancer group, Singing for Breathing, Making space mental health forum and many more. George Eliot Hospital Volunteer group Oasis will also be on hand to provide hand massages during the event.
The Carers Event will be held in the George Eliot Hospital Training and Education Centre (GETEC). Everyone is welcome to attend.
