Annette Tracey who has worked as a breast care nurse at the George Eliot for over 40 years was invited to a sunny Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.
Dedicated nurse Annette was over the moon about her invitation and loved every moment of the party in the grounds of the Royal Palace. In the marquee she tasted cucumber sandwiches and little cakes imprinted with the Royal Crest. She also toured the gardens and enjoyed the attention to detail during the party.
The highlight of the day was when Annette was asked to be the start of the front line welcoming the grand entrance of the Royal Family. She was really excited to be so close to The Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Edward.
Annette said: “The whole event was surreal and overwhelming. This was a once in a lifetime experience and I felt honoured and privileged to be invited.”
