Education Services

In October 2006 the George Eliot Training and Education Centre (GETEC) opened on the Trust’s site. The centre boasts a range of seminar rooms, a first class library which recently received a top level accreditation, a lecture theatre and, perhaps most impressive of all, a range of clinical skills rooms to provide a simulated clinical environment for teaching students and staff from all areas of the hospital’s workforce.

The centre was funded through resources specifically set aside for teaching by the Department of Health and the former West Midlands South Strategic Health Authority.
