The George Eliot's medical director, Ray Steingold, has spoken publicly about the Trust's intention to continue to pursue Foundation Trust (FT) status following Warwickshire PCT's withdrawal of support for its applications

Respiratory team recognised for innovative care

 

A medical team from George Eliot Hospital have finished runners-up in the prestigious West Midlands Health and Social Care Awards 2009, held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.

Newborn Hearing Screening Programme (NHSP)

 

THE George Eliot's NHSP, based in the maternity unit, has been running since November 2005. The team are responsible for screening all babies in North Warwickshire before they are three-months old. They also routinely screen all babies from outside North Warwickshire who are born at the hospital.

Trust up for two patient safety awards

 

GEORGE Eliot Hospital's dramatic improvement in patient safety over recent years has been recognised with a place in the final of the patient safety category in both the Health Service Journal (HSJ) and Nursing Times (NT) awards.
