Cheryl Thomas is the new Drayton Ward Manager at the George Eliot Hospital. She will be running the Coventry half marathon on 1 March 2015 to raise funds to buy equipment for the hospital.
An experienced midwife, Cheryl has been delivering babies since she started her training at the Walsgrave Hospital in 1999. In 2003 she joined the midwifery team at University Hospital in Leicester (UHL) where she was a Delivery Suite midwife, a specialist in teenage pregnancy and a Community midwife.
Cheryl, who lives in Rugby, is excited about her new role at the George Eliot. Her long term goal is to build upon the services already in place and to maintain and enhance good patient care.
She said:”I am really looking forward to my role here at the George Eliot. I have only been here a few weeks but I am already busy working with our dedicated staff who are committed to caring for mums and babies in the Nuneaton, Bedworth, North Warwickshire and surrounding areas.”
Cheryl’s sponsorship forms are available in the George Eliot labour suite or Drayton Ward for visitors to the Maternity Hospital.
