The Audiology Department based at George Eliot Hospital provides the following services. 

  • Audiological tests
  • Complex hearing cases which include Obtrusive and serious tinnitus cases, patients with dizziness, Meniere's Disease, conductive and unilateral hearing loss, and some infections.
  • Paediatric services
  • Patients who were referred for treatment before 2013.

 

There is also a comprehensive Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) service at the hospital.

There are currently changes being made to the hearing aid service for patients who had received an assessment and were referred by their GP between January 2013 and December 2016 to the hearing service. Patients are being issued with letters detailing these changes.

The Audiology department is continuing to deliver the services detailed above.

If patients need help with choosing a qualified provider they should speak to their GP. Patients who use the Audiology Service can also contact the team based at the George Eliot Hospital on 024 7686  5220.

Opening times

Monday to Friday: 9am – 5pm (closed for lunch from 12.30pm-1.30pm)

Saturdays: 9am-12 noon (by appointment only)

Sundays: Closed
