Note on disclosure of matters discussed by the Board of Directors

The Trust is operating in an increasingly competitive environment involving both independent sector as well as NHS bodies. Discussions at the Board of Directors involve confidential matters and are not always held in public.

On becoming a Foundation Trust, the main forum for public discussion will be the meeting of the Board of Governors.

However, in the interests of openness and accountability, the Trust is committed to placing as much information as possible in the public domain.  Under the monthly headings below you will find a range of reports from each monthly Board meeting, providing you with an outline of the Trust's focus, core business and progress against objectives. 

The reports include a synopsis of each meeting, a copy of the Trust's compliance and performance reports and a copy of the monthly briefing that is made available to all Trust staff - GEH update.

When a meeting is to be held in public, the papers are made available on the web site approximately one week before the meeting is held.  Meeting dates are provided on the web site and promoted through the local media.

The next meeting of the Trust Board will take place on Wednesday 30 May 2012 at 1.30pm in the Raveloes Conference Room, which is situated on the first floor of the main hospital building, on the hospital site.  Board papers will be made available on the Trust's web site approximately a week before the meeting.
