  • The Trust does not hit its four hour A&E waiting time target (95%) for the fourth quarter of the 2012/13 financial year but achieves it for the financial year as a whole.


  • The Trust achieves its stroke care target of ensuring 80% of stroke patients spend at least 90% of their inpatient spell on a specialist stroke ward for the 2012/13 financial year.


  • With the exception of the 62 day waiting time standard, the Trust hits all its cancer targets for the 2012/13 financial year.


  • Elective waiting time targets for referral to treatment in less than 18 weeks are achieved for the 2012/13 financial year.


  • The cancelled operations on the day of surgery target of less than 0.8% for the 2012/13 financial year is just met but was not achieved in seven out of the 12 months.


  • The target for unplanned re-attendances at A&E of less than 5% was just achieved for the 2012/13 financial year but was not achieved in seven of the 12 months.


  • The Trust reports that its Hospital Standardised Mortality Rate (HSMR) for the 12 months to the end of January 2013 is 114.9, down from 119.8 for the 2011/12 financial year as a whole but still above the national threshold of 100 and above the Trust's internal target of 110.


  • Cases of reportable hospital acquired Clostridium Difficile (C diff) drop to 16 for the 2012/13 financial year, down from 38 in 2011/12 and below the Trust's target of 27.


  • The Trust doesn't achieve its target of recording no hospital acquired MRSA bloodstream bacteraemia for the 2012/13 financial year. Two such incidents were reported, up from one in 2011/12.


  • The number of complaints made in the 2012/13 financial year goes up to 293 from 271 in 2011/12.
