Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information Act was passed in November 2000. It grants members of the public the right to access all types of information held by public bodies. It came into force fully in January 2005 and applies to all NHS organisations as well as other public bodies.

This Publication Scheme is a complete guide to the information routinely published by George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. It is a description of the information about our Trust that we make publicly available. The Scheme is in three parts and divided into classes of information. We shall review the Scheme at regular intervals and monitor how it is operating.
